About the Author

Heather Ross

With a rich life story shaped by decades of dedication and love, Heather Ross brings a unique voice to the literary world. A retired nurse with over 50 years of experience, she devoted her career to caring for others, embodying compassion and resilience. Now, in a new chapter of her life, she channels that same passion into storytelling.

Born and raised in the serene rural surroundings of Mangatoki, near Eltham in the Taranaki region of New Zealand, she grew up on a family farm surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of a close-knit family. Alongside her two sisters, Yvonne and Suzanne, she enjoyed a childhood full of adventure, love, and simple joys, experiences that have deeply influenced her writing.

Though becoming an author was never part of her original plan, life had other ideas. Inspired by heartfelt conversations with her sisters and encouraged by family, she embraced the challenge of turning their shared memories and stories into a compelling book. What followed was a journey of dedication, hard work, and love, supported by the unwavering encouragement of her family.

Today, she lives surrounded by the love of her husband, four children, all thriving in their own careers, and a growing family of grandchildren who bring endless joy to her life. Her writing reflects her values: family, perseverance, and the simple beauty found in everyday moments.

Through her books, she invites readers to experience the richness of rural New Zealand life, the bonds that hold families together, and the strength found in embracing unexpected journeys.
